Air Emission Values

Applies to: Pellet/Briquette Plant

Description:

This indicator refers to the prevention of negative effects of air emissions from a pellet/briquette plant using crop residues. The indicator compares measured (if available) or foreseen values with the thresholds prescribed by regulations or permits.

Questions:

What are the limit values prescribed for air emission of the plant?

What are the foreseen/measured air emissions of the plant?

Rating:

Foreseen/Measured values more than 20% lower than prescribed values

Foreseen/Measured values more than 10% lower than prescribed values

Foreseen/Measured values lower than prescribed values

Foreseen/Measured values worse than prescribed values

Following emission limits from power generating units and boilers were defined by regulations and these should be used if no other thresholds were defined for the project (Table 11).

Maximum limits for air pollutants, relevant for a pellet/briquette plant (regardless of capacity or any other criteria) are presented in the following table (Table 12).
