Digestate Storage

Applies to: Biogas Plant

This indicator refers to the prevention of negative impacts of digestate application on the environment. Digestate is the decomposed substrate, resulting from the production of biogas. It is rich in macro- and micro nutrients and therefore suitable to be used as fertiliser. The indicator considers capacity of digestate storage to enable its well-timed application matching crop nutrient requirements.

What is the capacity of digestate storage?

More than 9 months
