Description:

This indicator refers to the prevention of negative impacts related to land cover change to which project activities may contribute. The indicator compares the land cover of the area used for feedstock production prior to and after project implementation. Land cover categories, defined as (bio)physical cover on the earth's surface, were taken from CORINE land cover database. These include Artificial surface, Agricultural land, Forest land and semi natural areas and Wetlands.

Rating:

No change from Forest land, Wetlands to Artificial surfaces, Agricultural land category

Up to 5% change from Forest land, Wetlands to Artificial surfaces, Agricultural land category

Up to 10% change from Forest land, Wetlands to Artificial surfaces, Agricultural land category

More than 10% from Forest land, Wetlands to Artificial surfaces, Agricultural land category
