Description:

This indictor refers to the prevention of negative impacts of wastewaters from the manure storage on nearby waters. Wastewaters can cause eutrophication due to inflow of organic matter and microbial contamination. The indicator considers storage type (covered or open), wastewater management and its compliance with relevant regulation and permits.

Is the storage facility covered?

Which wastewater is produced by the storage?

Are wastewaters separately collected?

Are wastewaters treated, monitored and discharged in line with relevant regulation and permits?
