Manure Transport

Applies to: Manure Transport

Description:

This indicator refers to the reduction of GHG emissions from manure transportation. The majority of GHG emissions from transport are CO2 emissions from fuel combustion. The indicator considers mode of transport and transportation distance with the aim to reduce associated GHG emissions.

Questions:

What is the transportation mode used for transporting manure?

What is farm-to-plant distance of manure?

Rating:

Pipeline

Transportation distance smaller than 1 km

Vacuum tanker with transportation distance up to 10 km

Tractor with transportation distance up to 10 km

Vacuum tanker with transportation longer than 10 km

Tractor with transportation longer than 10 km
