Storage Noise Emission Abatement Measures

Applies to: Storage II

Description:

This indicator refers to the negative impacts of noise emission from storage activities on human health. According to the WHO findings, noise is the second largest environmental cause of health problems, just after the impact of air quality. The indicator considers abatement measures implemented (noise barriers, scheduling of feedstock delivery, indoor unloading of feedstock, etc.) and a distance from the plant to residential areas.

Questions:

What is the distance from the storage to the nearest residential area?

Which measures are implemented to abate noise emissions?

Rating:

At least one measure implemented, distance from populated area more than 250 m

Distance from populated area more than 250 m

At least one measure implemented, distance from populated area less than 250 m

No measure implemented, distance from populated area less than 250 m
