Toxic Gases

Applies to: CR Storage II; Pellet/Briquette Plant; Manure Storage; Silage Storage II; Biogas Plant

The indicator refers to the prevention of health problems related to air contaminants. The handling of feedstock may cause working environment problems especially in relation to dust and microorganisms, such as fungi and bacteria. In the case of biogas, if inhaled in sufficiently high concentration, it can result in poisoning or asphyxiation symptoms and even death. Especially the presence of hydrogen sulphide (H2S) in non-desulphurised biogas can be extremely toxic, even in low concentrations.

Does the company provide control checks and implement measures against asphyxiation and poisoning due to presence of air pollutants?
